Tourism Fiji unveils rebranded ‘Adventure Capital’
|
Adventure capital ... Pacific Harbour rebranded and unveiled. |
It still has the adventure, except with a `brand’ new name.
And that’s how Fiji’s adventure capital, the Pacific Coast, known until recently as Pacific Harbour, was unveiled to a key group of Kiwi travel agents.
The group of five agents were sampling national tourist office Tourism Fiji’s ‘Thrill Me’ educational sample which included several of the Pacific Coast’s newest soft adventure activities.
These included tree top ziplining with ZipFiji and white-water rafting as part of the ‘Rivers Fiji’ program as well as the array of adventure sports on offer at the activity-oriented Uprising Beach Resort.
The agents also visited Lalati resort on Beqa Island while cultural activities included a visit to the Arts Village at Deuba.
Tourism Fiji Regional Director New Zealand Sala Toganivalu who accompanied the agents said the focus of the program was specifically set on alerting participants to the “huge array of travel product” now available on the Pacific Coast.
Toganivalu said the group also had an opportunity to see first-hand the Pacific Coast’s potential to the Kiwi romantic travel and family markets.
“This is part and parcel of our ongoing efforts to spread tourism geographically to other regions of Fiji while at the same time giving New Zealanders even more reason to visit the destination,” she said.
