Punja resigns from Fiji TV board

Business tycoon Hari Punja has resigned from the Fiji TV Limited board to comply with the Media Industry Development Decree 2010.

The Decree 2010 states that no person can hold directorship in two or more media companies.

His company, Punja and Sons Limited holds 12.16 percent shares in Fiji TV Ltd.

Punja is also a shareholder and director on the Communications Fiji Limited board.

He was appointed to the Fiji TV board in 1996 and has been the longest serving board member.
