Teachers around the country have been advised by the Fiji Teachers Registration Board (FTRB) to register for three years.

This was directed by the Ministry of Education in order to uphold the credibility of the FTRB.

In a statement, permanent secretary for Education Dr Brij Lal said questions were raised by the public and some teachers are still in the dark and clarifications still need to be made.

Three years registration cost $90 is done in alignment to the business process of the international body and those who have already registered for the last two years will pay only $30.

Teachers are expected to renew their registration after three years.
