Job’s not over yet: Afazal

Fiji Under 17 forward Ibraheem Afazal, who scooped the Player of the match award in their opening 3-nil win against Samoa in the OFC Under 17 Championship, says their job is not over yet.

Speaking to FijiLive, the Apia Leichhardt star from Sydney Australia said they have a lot to improve on ahead of their crucial match against Tonga.

“I feel good but the job is not over yet for us. We were shaky against Samoa in both halves. I reckon we still have more left in the tank. This was not our 100 per cent; we still got more to do.”

“This was just our first match and I think the next match we have to be a little better.”

“I’m ready to give my best again. I’m playing my very best for Fiji and our focus is this game right now,” he said.

Fiji will meet Tonga in their second Pool A match at 7pm at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva on Wednesday.
