The JP Bayly Trust is a Registered Charitable Trust established by the late Mr. JP Bayly in 1954 to provide for the welfare of the less fortunate and needy with basic medical care, food and clothing for their families as well as education for their children.
Bayly Welfare assists around 650 needy households in Suva, Lautoka and Labasa on a regular basis, annually, whilst Bayly Education facilitates primary and secondary education to approximately 335 children from these needy families.
The position of the Senior Almoner is multifunctional role, reporting to the JP Bayly Trust Board on administrative matters, the Bayly Welfare Suva Committee on the day to day operational matters, and supervising the Almoners and Education Officers in Lautoka and Labasa Offices as well as Suva.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified personnel to fill the position of Senior Almoner to be located at the Suva Bayly Welfare/Education Centre at 193 Rodwell Road, Suva.
Qualifications and Experience
Education up to Form 6 level or higher
Be a Mature/Retired person with managing human resources skills and dealing with disadvantaged members of Society
Experience with office technology and a good working knowledge of PC user competency
A capacity to manage multiple tasks with a focus on accuracy and reliability and on-time delivery
Ability to draft and edit the regular Bayly News Bulletin
Must be a team player and be able to manage staff and the registered cases on Bayly Welfare register
Must have a valid drivers’ license as travelling will be a function and be willing to travel to Lautoka and Labasa as required
