Leweni returns to RFMF next week

Government has announced the return of former Fiji Consular to the Fiji Embassy to China and former Permanent Secretary for Information Lieutenant Colonel Neumi Leweni to the Fiji Military Forces.

A statement issued by the Ministry for Information said Lt Col Neumi Leweni will resume duties with the Fiji Military Forces from next week Monday 15th November.

It said the move is in line with statements previously made by the Prime Minister that any Military Officer seconded to serve in the Government would return once they have completed the duties they were assigned. 

“Lt Col Leweni’s first Government appointment was as the Consular to the Fiji Embassy in China.” The statement said.

Recently Lt Col Leweni has served as the Permanent Secretary of Information and Permanent Secretary of Lands.

The statement said Lt Col Leweni, has been dedicated to the reforms the government is undertaking and has made a considerable contribution towards improving service delivery within the Ministries he has served in.

Filimone Kau the Deputy Secretary of the SFCCO will now take up the position of Acting Permanent Secretary of Lands.
