The ten finalists of the 2012 Miss India Fiji have been confirmed.

The ten beautiful young women were selected after the semifinals last Saturday in Suva where the 17 hopefuls showed the judges their talent.

The successful finalists are Aartika Sharma, Alvin Lata, Menuka Sharma, Natasha Begum, Nikita Prakash, Nishika Singh, Prasanna Kumar, Shayal Kumar, Sheryl Kumar and Sonia Shainaaz.

Miss India Fiji pageant director Aliyah Jan told FijiLive the judges faced a tough task in selecting the final 10 from the 50 contestants who went through the auditions.

“During the semi-finals, we judged the contestants on their talent because the Miss India World Pageant has a strong focus on talent and testing the girls abilities of presenting themselves visually and verbally”, said Snehal Morris, one of the Pageant Judges.

“I think the contestants put forward a great effort in the short time they had to audition and perform for the semi-finals. I would only encourage them to be more creative and confident with their talent and performances."

The ten contestants will undergo several training sessions before the final round on Saturday, September 8.
