A 29-year-old of Tavarau, Ba lost everything in a fire that destroyed his house, made of concrete, corrugated iron and timber, yesterday.

The fire is believed to have started from the house’s FEA meter box.

The incident occurred at 7.30pm and the cost of damage is estimated at $150k.

Fiji Police spokesperson, Ana Naisoro in statement said, “The neighbors alleged that the fire/smoke started from the prayer place and later a sound was heard from the FEA meter box.”

Investigations are underway.
