Fiji’s Weather Office in Nadi says flooding of low lying areas in Lautoka and Nadi are normal, and that the issuance of heavy rain warnings will only be done in cases of heavy rain within 24 hours.

Manager Forecast Service Misaele Finaki of the weather office in Nadi said they had received a call this morning about the rise in water level in Ba.

He said the police in the area is assessing the situation and would notify the weather office later today.
