The fifth escapee, Isoa Waqa who was on the run since last Monday was this morning captured by police in Laqere, Nasinu.

This was confirmed to FijiLive by Police Chief of Operations, ACP Rusiate Tudravu.

ACP Tudravu said Waqa was captured around 3am today in a taxi with a girl believed to be his girlfriend.

He said the taxi driver and the girl are in police custody with Waqa as investigations continue.

Waqa alongside with four other inmates fled from the Naboro Medium Correction Centre last week.  The other four were captured last Friday.

Meanwhile, ACP Tudravu confirmed that six other people who are alleded to have harboured the inmates will appear in Suva Magistrates Court later today.
