Two farmers lost their lives yesterday in a road accident at Nakorosule Road in Vunidawa, Naitasiri.

The 58-year-old and 40-year-old farmers along with three other passengers and driver were in the carrier which was heading towards Nausori.

Fiji Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro said that the 32-year-old driver of Naluwai Village is alleged to have lost control of the carrier which resulted in the vehicle tumbling off the road twice.

The three other passengers are currently admitted at the Vunidawa Hospital while the driver is in police custody.
