A 32-year-old man is in police custody over the death of a man following a grievous assault at Victoria Parade in Suva on Sunday night.

Fiji Police Chief of Operations, ACP Rusiate Tudravu confirmed that the incident happened outside a night club.

Police spokesperson, Ana Naisoro said that the suspect will be in custody till they receive the post-mortem report from the pathologists to determine further cause of actions.

The deceased was rushed to the Colonial War Memorial Hospital (CWMH) yesterday afternoon where he later died.
