Fiji’s High Commissioner to Papua New Guinea, Romanu Tikotikoca was today briefed on the Fiji Police Froce's  achievements to date and strategic plans of the organisation.

Commissioner of Police, Iowane Naivalarua met with the Force's former Commissioner Tikotikoca at their headquarters in Laucala, Centrepoint.

Fiji Police spokesperson, Ana Naisoro said Tikotikoca was accorded a quarter guard ceremony prior to his meeting with Naivalarua as well as senior officers.

Tikotikoca was briefed on the Force’s achievements to date as well as the strategic plans in the pipeline for the organization towards becoming a “Force of the Nation in 2014” and beyond towards 2050.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Unaisi Vuniwaqa outlined some of the progress stating that not only keeping up with the changes on the criminal front, the force also had to be up to par with other changes such as that on the technological front which can be a real challenge for Fiji and other Pacific countries.

Tikotikoca said he was pleased with the progress made by the organization.
