Supporters warned to behave at Deans finals The Fiji Police Force is warning spectators and supporters that they will not allow any unruly behavior during the Powerade Super Deans Championship finals this Saturday in Suva.

This is in light of the heated ongoing exchanges on social media following the tragic accident that claimed the lives of six people over the weekend.

Chief Operations Officer, ACP Maretino Qiolevu said they want the students to enjoy the day and what they have noted is that it’s not often the students who are embroiled in these heated exchanges but supporters.

“We will not hesitate to remove anyone from the games venue if one is found to be causing trouble,” he said.

“We have often come across parents and supporters cheering in manner that doesn’t encourage good sportsmanship and this must stop as it is unbecoming of adults to be encouraging violence and hatred amongst students of competing.”

ACP Qiolevu added that students, parents and teachers put in a lot of hard work to reach the final stages of the Deans Competition, and it is imperative for everyone to support each other in the spirit of good sportsmanship.
