Best of India exhibition for Suva A first ever exclusive Indian product exhibition- Best of India will be held at the FMF Gymnasium in Suva from this Friday to Sunday.

The show which is organized by the High Commission of India in partnership with the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry will have the participation of over 40 companies from India.

Industrial development, health, education and skill development, housing, infrastructure, agriculture and agri-business and Digital India are the seven key thrust areas for the Best of India Show.

Indian High Commissioner, His Excellency Vishvas Sapkal said the trade show would further enhance the bilateral relations between the two nations and will allow the business community in Fiji to explore new opportunities.

“We are getting some of the best business houses from India to showcase their products and services and this opportunity should further strengthen trade relations between the two countries.”

“The Fijian and Indian traders will have a chance to directly communicate, share market intelligence and facilitate business and joint ventures.”

“The exhibition will enable flow of technology, capital and experts and facilitate trade and investment. It will be an excellent opportunity to strengthen the two countries commitment to even greater cooperation and expansion of economic relations,” he said.

PHD Chamber Secretary Exhibitions, Mr. Kamal Khurana said Fijian businesses have shown keen interest in the event and they are looking forward to showcase their products and services.

“Fiji has a very unique market and we are excited to bring this show here. We have been doing this Best of India shows across the world and this is the first time we are doing it in Fiji.”

“We hold around 120 to 150 exhibitions annually across the globe and we are excited to be here. The Fijian consumers will surely benefit from this opportunity as all the products that they will see on display will soon be available in the Fijian market and they will be able to purchase them from our Fijian counterparts once we sign agreements and business deals with them.”

“We conducted a proper market research and met with big Fijian companies to see what their demands were and on the basis of the information and responses we got from them, we selected the best 40 exhibitors for this show,” he added.

The PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry is one of the leading Chamber of India and ever since its inception in 1905, it has been an active participant in the India growth story through its advocacy role for the policy makers of the country.

Products ranging from automobiles, agriculture and construction machinery, packaging machinery, insurance, project engineering, hardware, apparels, processed foods, cereals, home textiles, house ware, jewelry and so on will be on display at the three day event.

The exhibition will run from 10am to 6pm.
