Otai is a dish that you can prepare when mango is plentiful on your tree at home or in the market. It is a good way of introducing mango to small children who do not like mangoes. Otai is nice on a hot day when you do not need to eat a heavy lunch. It is nutritious and cheap to get and very economical to prepare.
1. Peel all your mangoes.
2. Wash carefully and leave them to dry in a bowl for a while.
3. Grate all the pulp of the mangoes using a vegetable grater. Leave out the seeds.
4. Mix in your finely grated coconut. Mix thoroughly using two spoons.
5. Chill it a little before serving.
