Naresia out with knee ligament injury

By Sunil Sharma

Ace Ba marksman Isimeli Naresia will be out of action for up to six weeks after picking up a ligament injury to his right knee during the Fiji FACT final against Suva yesterday.

Naresia awkwardly fell on his knee after colliding with Suva goalie Emori Ragata and was stretchered off the field and taken directly to the Ba Mission Hospital.

He was admitted overnight and discharged earlier today with doctors ruling him out of the sport for at least six weeks.

Ba vice president Iliyaz Khan confirmed this to FijiLive and said Naresia was currently resting at home .

"He was admitted overnight and was discharged after getting a cast on his knee. We are in constant touch with him and will ensure that he recovers well," said Khan.

Naresia scored three goals in the tournament for the Men In Black.
