Clinic to better goalkeeping skills

By Sunil Sharma

Fiji Football Association in conjunction with Oceania Football Confederation will be conducting a Goalkeepers Coaching Course at the Ba Academy next week.

The course will be conducted by James Bannatyne of the OFC Technical Department.

Fiji FA’s technical department director Farouk Janeman is urging districts to send two of their goalkeepers to attend the course.

"Two goalies that are currently playing active football in the district teams can come forward and benefit from this course as it will enhance their skills and will also help them prepare mentally for games," he said.

"Goalkeepers often are confused when it comes to making decisions at critical times and courses of this nature will enable them to make better decisions."

The course concludes next Friday.
