Salauneune to feature as guest rep for Ba

By Sunil Sharma

Former Fiji U23 marksman Jone Salauneune will feature as a guest player for Ba in the Pacific Cup which gets underway at the Mount Smart Stadium in Auckland this afternoon.

This was confirmed to FijiLive by  Ba FA secretary Iliyaz Khan before their departure last night.

“Yes I can confirm that Salauneune will join with us upon the team’s arrival in Auckland as a guest player per Pacific Cup tournament rule”

Ba FA is currently waiting for Salauneune’s International Transfer Certificate from New Zealand FA.

Salauneune since joining Ba this season only featured in the Fiji FACT tournament which was played at Govind Park.

He then went on to Wellington for trials and a possible playing contract.

Salauneune is expected to return to Fiji in December to bolster Ba’s strike force for the Pillay Garments Champions League.

Ba plays Sydney in its opening match today.
