Farina to name final team tomorrow

The Vodafone Fiji Olympic team will be named in Ba tomorrow.

With Samuela Kautoga and Benaminio Mateinaqara dropped from the squad in the weekend; Roy Krishna, Alvin Singh and veteran goalkeeper Simione Tamanisau are set to accompany the team as the three over-aged players in the 18-member squad.

Suva’s Rusiate Matarerega, Ba’s Manasa Nawakula and Labasa’s Christopher Wasasala were also sent home and will not be considered for selection while a goalkeeper, a midfielder and a striker are also set to miss the cut.

Fiji has been grouped with defending champions Mexico, South Korea and Germany and will face South Korea in its opening match in Rio.
