Singh will stay, Suva boss confirms

Fiji's most experienced football Coach Gurjit Singh will remain with Suva for the remainder of this season, Association President Mahen Prasad has confirmed.

Prasad told FijiLive that they had a discussion with Singh and have managed to persuade him to remain for the upcoming Battle Of Giants, Inter District Championship and the Premier League.

"Yes I can confirm that Gurjit is staying with Suva. He wanted to rejoin his family in the United States and spend more time with them but we held discussions with him and he has agreed to stay back till the end of the season and this is a good news to the team and the fans as he is one of the most successful coaches in the country and has guided the our team to win IDC, Fiji FACT and National League wins," he said.

Meanwhile the Whites will commence training for the 2016 INKK Mobile Battle Of Giants from Monday.

Suva is pooled with defending champion Rewa, Nadi and Dreketi in Group A.
