Seasoned striker Joseph Mishra came off the bench and scored a brace of goals as Rewa came from behind to beat Dreketi 4-2 in a Vodafone Premier League fixture at Ratu Cakobau Park today.
Dreketi dominated the first spell and led 1-0 at halftime with midfielder Menon Ram scoring from a pile-driver in the 32nd minute of play.
The Northerners went further up in the first minute of second half through lanky marksman Sanaila Waqanicakau.
Rewa Coach Marika Rodu made some effective changes in the forwards and this paid the dividend for the Delta Tigers as they came back strongly.
Iosefo Verevou was fouled inside the box and referee Rakesh Chandra did not hesitate to award Rewa a penalty in the 60th minute. Tevita Waranaivalu pulled one back from the spot kick.
Replacement Sailosi Rayagona leveled scores in the 75th minute after a defensive blunder by Dreketi goalkeeper Petero Namoce Junior.
Mishra netted the third goal in the 78th minute after beautifully finishing off a Epeli Saukuru through pass with a timely run and left foot strike which landed into the roof of the net.
And he sealed the win in the 85th minute after tapping the ball into an empty net as the goalkeeper was beaten in an aerial tussle.
Rewa remains on fifth position but now has 10 points after 6 games while Dreketi stays on seventh spot with 4 points after 7 matches.
