Verevou, Saukuru eye Nadroga switch

Rewa’s Iosefo Verevou and Epeli Saukuru have reportedly sealed a deal with Nadroga in this window and are now believed to be awaiting their release.

Interim Nadroga Football Association Vice President Moshin Nabi confirmed signing the siblings yesterday and said they are happy to have them back with the Stallions.

“This is our biggest signing of the window and we are happy to bring Epeli Saukuru and Iosefo Verevou back to Nadroga. They grew up in Nadroga and started their footballing career here and it is good to have them back as their inclusion will lift the morale of the team and strengthen our campaign for IDC,” said Mr Nabi.

While no specifics of the contract have been released, FijiLive understands that housing for the brothers is also part of the deal.

Suva’s Tomasi Tuicakau, Rewa’s Setareki Vola  and Nadi’s Waisea Tale Junior and Jone Salauneune together with former Ba and Fiji U20 marksman Ratu Vula Bonaveidogo are also linked to Nadroga in this window.

The player transfer window officially closes on Friday and all signings will become eligible for their new districts in next week’s Courts Inter District Championship (IDC).
