Lautoka beats Dreketi, claims 2nd spot

Lautoka has climbed to the second spot on the Vodafone Premier League standing after beating Dreketi 2-0 at Subrail Park.

The Blues bounced back after losing by a similar scoreline to Labasa yesterday.

The return of veteran Peni Finau and left midfielder Dave Radrigai from suspension boosted the team morale and a goal in each half to Zibraaz Sahib and Valerio Nawatu was enough to hand them their fifth win of the competition.

Lautoka now has 17 points from 9 matches and will need positive results in the remaining five games to keep its OFC Champions League hopes alive.

Dreketi on the other hand has 7 points from 9 games and will also need a few more points to remain in the Premier Division.
