PSRU shines in Police IDC

The Police Special Response Unit (PSRU) looks like the team to beat in the 2016 Police Inter District Championship (IDC) which is currently underway at the Nasova grounds in Suva.

PSRU with the services of Simione Tamanisau, Akuila Mateisuva, Ilaisa Nayasi and Savenaca Nakalevu defeated Southern Division II 1-0 in their first game yesterday and overcame Western II 2-0 to remain on course.

Headquarters with the likes of Inosi Cava, Subramani Sami, Rajesh Roshan and Filipe Baravilala defeated Western Division I 2-0.

Defending champions Western Division II boasting players like Misiwani Nairube, Paulo Buke and Senirusi Bokini registered a win and a loss.

Northern Division with Dreketi reps Kushal Naicker, Sumeet Krishan and Mahendra Lal outclassed Eastern Division 4-1.

Pool matches continue today and the semi-finals and final will be played tomorrow.

Day 1 Results: Western Division II 1-0 Southern Division I, Northern Division 4-1 Eastern Division, PSRU 1-0 Southern Division II, Headquarters 2-0 Western Division I, South II 7-2 South I, PSRU 2-0 Western Division II.
