Suva beats hosts, claims first IDC title

Suva U14 created Primary Schools Inter District Championship (IDC) history at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori in the weekend after beating host Rewa 1-0 in the final and lifting the title for the first time.

The Adrian Kumar coached side had to fight tooth and nail in the grand finale and managed to score the winner in extra time through the boots of striker Senitiki Muisova.

Suva’s Javis Ronnie won the Golden Boot award after netting five goals in the tournament.

Meanwhile Ba clinched the U12 title after beating Labasa 2-1 in a pulsating final while Rewa defeated Suva 2-0 in the first ever Girl’s U14 exhibition match.
