Vakatalesau likely to feature in semis

Seasoned striker Osea Vakatalesau looks likely to feature for Ba in their IDC semifinal clash against Lautoka today.

The former national striker did not feature in the Group stage competition due to a niggling knee injury but is likely to be included in the match day squad for the semifinals.

Coach Imdad Ali told FijiLive that Vakatalesau will be their impact player in the elimination stages.

“He had some injury concern so we decided to give him some rest. He will play some part in the tournament and his experience is surely vital to us.”

“We have some very good strikers in the squad and Osea will add more depth to the team once he makes his appearance on the field,” said Ali.

Defending champion Ba faces Battle Of Giants champion Lautoka in the second semifinal at 5pm.
