9-man Rewa overcomes Labasa

Rewa keeps its 2016 Vodafone Premier League title hopes alive after coming from behind to beat Labasa 3-1 in an exciting match at Subrail Park today.

Goalkeeper-cum-striker Akuila Mateisuva scored the lone goal of the first half as Labasa led 1-0 at halftime.

The Delta Tigers despite losing brothers Epeli Saukuru and Iosefo Verevou to red cards, managed to bounce back and score three unanswered goals.

Simione Tamanisau leveled the scores with a beautiful strike while youngster Sailosi Rayagona proved to be the hero for the visitors as he scored two beautiful goals to seal the important win for the Marika Rodu coached side.

Rewa now has 25 points and trails to leaders Ba by 3 points.
