AFFA All Stars keep low profile

2014 finalist, the Australia Fiji Football Association (AFFA) All Stars are keeping a low profile ahead of the the 2016 Pacific Cup which commences in Nadi tomorrow.

The side suffered a blow after top defender Alvin Singh was ruled out due to an injury while striker Eran Underwood could not secure leave from work for the trip to Fiji.

Team Coach Moshin Javed Nabi told FijiLive they will be out to do well and make an impact in the tournament despite missing some big names.

He said competition will be tough as they are grouped with all top teams and they will be taking one game at a time.

Former Navua rep Esala Ali, former Rewa reps Taufiq Ahmed and Betsy Ali together with Shivan Swamy and Jason Lal are some known players in the team.

Sydney United forward Panny Nikas, Blake Ricciuto, Jordan Murray, Christopher Payne and Themba Muata-Marlow are the guest players in the side.

AFFA All Stars face IDC champions Labasa in the second match of the Ram's Cleaning Services Pacific Cup at 6.15pm tomorrow.
