Ba wins 20th League title

Ba lifted the National League title for the 20th time today after holding Inter District Champions Labasa to a 0-0 draw at Govind Park.

The Men In Black needed just a draw to clinch the title and they did just that, although had more chances to score goals and win the fixture.

Ba finished the 2016 Vodafone Premier League with 32 points while Rewa after holding Lautoka 1-1 at Ratu Cakobau Park finished in second place with 29 points.

Lautoka finished in third place with 24 points.

Ba receives $18,000 for winning the competition.

In other matches played today, Nadi and Dreketi played to a 0-0 draw while Nadroga thumped Suva 6-1.

Nadroga finishes the season on last place with 12 points and will feature in Senior Division. They will be replaced by Senior Division winners Rakiraki.
