Kumar double upsets Lautoka

Former Fiji U20 midfielder Jeshal Kumar scored two goals as Nadroga registered an important 2-1 victory over Lautoka in the Vodafone Premier League at Lawaqa Park today.

The win keeps Nadroga’s  premier division survival hopes alive as they now have 6 points after 12 matches and need to win their remaining two matches and will have to hope that Dreketi and Nadi drop points in their games.

Sekove Finau scored early in the match for Lautoka but a penalty to Kumar towards the end of the first half leveled scores.

Kumar scored Nadroga’s winning goal midway in the second half with a powerful low shot which gave goalkeeper Senirusi Bokini no chance at all.

Meanwhile Dreketi fought tooth and nail to hold Suva to a goal-less draw in their clash at Subrail Park today.

The Northerners now have 9 points 12 matches and have two matches to play.
