Rewa qualifies for OCL, Nadroga relegated

Rewa has qualified for next season’s OFC Champions League after beating Nadroga 1-0 in the Vodafone Premier League at Prince Charles Park in Nadi today.

Replacement striker Misaele Draunibaka netted the vital goal for Rewa in the 82nd minute of play.

The Delta Tigers have 28 points and one more match remaining against Lautoka tomorrow.

The win also keeps Rewa in the hunt for the VPL title- but in a little tighter situation.

Rewa will have to beat Lautoka by more than 11 clear goals and will have to hope that Ba loses its last match against Labasa tomorrow.

The Men In Black who are on 31 points already just need a draw over the Babasiga Lions to win the National League title for the 20th time.

Meanwhile Nadroga will feature in the Senior Division in the new season.

The Stallions have 6 points and one more match remaining against Suva tomorrow but the result of that fixture will not affect their placing as Dreketi (12) and Nadi (11) already have better points.

Nadroga will be replaced by Rakiraki in the new season.
