USA All Stars keep semis hopes alive

The United States of America (USA) All Stars have kept their semifinal hopes in the 2016 Pacific Cup alive with a 2-1 win over Auckland All Stars.

The Americans opened their account through striker Mohammed Farhaan in the later stages of the first half and led 1-0 at the break.

Auckland All Stars leveled scores through Solomon Islands international Benjamin Totori but a defensive mistake allowed the USA All Stars to seal the win in the 52nd minute through Jose Cuevas.

The USA All Stars now have 6 points after three matches and play Lautoka in their final match at 2.30pm while Auckland All Stars who have 3 points from 3 matches will play Suva in their last match at 3.45pm.
