Ba, Rewa make impressive start in VPL

Defending champion Ba and last season's runners up Rewa have made an impressive start in the 2017 Vodafone Premier League.

Ba came from behind to beat Suva 2-1 at the ANZ Stadium.

Lanky national striker Saula Waqa netted a double for the Men In Black after Ravinesh Karan Singh gave the champs an early scare with a beautiful finish.

Rewa on the other hand defeated Nadi 2-0 at Ratu Cakobau Park with a goal in each half to national strikers Iosefo Verevou and Ratu Savenaca Nakalevu.

The teams ended the match with ten players after Rewa's Verevou and Nadi's Waisake Tabucava were sent off in the second half.
