Rewa ends campaign with a win

Rewa ended its campaign in the 2017 OFC Champions League in Tahiti with a 2-1 win over Vanuatu's Erakor Golden Star.

The Delta Tigers displayed one of their finest performances in the tournament and led 2-0 at halftime with Iosefo Verevou setting up Brazilian striker Marcelo Junior for the opener in the 24th minute and then following up with the second goal in the 31st minute.

Erakor Golden Star pulled one back through striker Tony Kaltack in the 71st minute but Rewa managed to hold onto its lead the final whistle.

The Marika Rodu coached side registered a 4-2 and 2-0 loss in earlier matches against Marist FC of the Solomon Islands and AS Tefana of Tahiti.

Rewa returns home on Monday.
