Waitakere beats Rewa in friendly

Former O-League champions Waitakere United defeated Rewa 2-0 in a buildup match in Auckland last night.

Despite dominating possession in both halves, the Delta Tigers failed to score goals.

Rewa ends its New Zealand tour with one win, two draws and a loss and flies out to Tahiti today to prepare for Group D matches of the 2017 OFC Champions League.

The Marika Rodu coached side will open its campaign against Marist FC of the Solomon Islands at 4pm (Fiji Time) on Sunday.
