Blues thump Dreketi, extend VPL lead

Lautoka has further extended its lead in the Vodafone Premier League following an impressive 4-0 victory over bottom placed Dreketi at Churchill Park today.

The Blues were in fine form and did not allow the visitors to settle in the game at all.

Lautoka led 3-0 at halftime with strikers Benjamin Totori and Osea Vakatalesau scoring a goal each while Dreketi conceded an own goal.

Midfielder Leisari Qalica netted the fourth goal early in the second half.

Lautoka now has 24 points on the table after playing 10 matches while Dreketi sits at the bottom with only 7 points after 9 matches.

Both teams will play their second match of the week on Sunday.

Dreketi will face Nadi at 1pm and Lautoka will come up against Labasa at 3pm. Both games will be played at Churchill Park.
