New winner for U19 Division in Schools IDC

A new winner will be crowned in the U19 Division of the 2018 Vodafone Fiji Secondary Schools Inter District Championship (IDC) in Nadi tomorrow after defending champion Baulevu High School failed to reach the quarterfinals.

Baulevu High School after losing 1-0 to Sigatoka Andhra College yesterday needed to beat Tilak High School in its last Pool D today but a 1-1 draw bundled them out.

Last year’s finalist Cuvu College also failed to reach the last 8 after losing its final pool match 2-1 to Xavier College today.

Bulileka Sanatan College of Labasa is the only team to reach the quarterfinals with maximum 12 points from their 4 pool matches.

The youngsters from the North will play Pool C runners up Bhawani Dayal Arya College in the first quarterfinal this afternoon.

Pool B winners Xavier College will face Pool D runners up Tilak High School in the second quarterfinal.

Pool C winners Ahmadiya Muslim College of Dreketi will play Pool A runners up DAV College of Suva in the third quarterfinal while Pool D winners Kamil Muslim College will face off against Pool B runners up Nadi Muslim College in the last quarterfinal.

Results of last round of pool matches:

U19- DAV Suva 0-0 Tavua College,  Bulileka Sanatan College 1-0 Vashist Muni College, Bhawani Dayal 1-0 SVC, Ahmadiya College 1-0 Jai Narayan College, Xavier College 2-1 Cuvu College, Nadi Muslim College 2-0 Penang Sangam, Baulevu High School 1-1 Tilak High School, Batinikama Secondary 1-0 Sigatoka Andhra College.

U15- Labasa College 2-0 Xavier College, Nadi Muslim College 2-0 Rishikul College

Girls- Xavier College 3-1 Holy Family Secondary, Vunimono High School 2-0 Sigatoka Methodist.
