NZ thumps Fiji to win Nations Cup

The Fiji Women's football team lost the final of the OFC Nations Cup to favorites New Zealand 8-0 in New Caledonia today.

The Kiwis played with sheer determination and led 4-0 at halftime.

They scored four more goals in the second half to book their spot in the FIFA Women's World Cup in France next year.

Fiji finished the match with only ten players after top striker Cema Nasau was sent off in the 40th minute following a second booking.

Meanwhile Papua New Guinea thumped New Caledonia 7-1 to finish third in the competition.
