Fiji Volleyball rallies behind cancer fight

By Sunil Sharma

Fiji Volleyball Federation has come forward to show their support in the fight against cancer.

The association made known their intentions at the launch of the Fiji Volleyball competition today.

Speaking at the launch, Minister for Sports Viliame Naupoto called on youths around the country to use sports as a tool for growth and development.

Members of the Fiji volleyball family wore pink ribbons during the launch to show their support.

“Everyone has the ability to develop but the crux of the matter is how we can develop on potential whether in sports or in the classrooms will depend on your attitude”, Naupoto said.

President of Fiji Volleyball Federation Kemueli Naiqama said this initiative supports the idea that sports can be used by young people to be ambassadors in addressing global issues, health issues and social issues.

“This is one way the Fiji Volleyball is aiming to develop young people and too also understand how they can become future leaders through sports," he said.
