Top teams set for Rewa Delta 7s

A youth club in Rewa will be organising a Rewa Delter 7s tournament sponsored by New World at Burebasaga Grounds on 7-8 December.

Confirmed for the tournament are Wardens, Army, Police, Fire and Gaunitoga.

Tournaments Organising chairman, Apolosi Vakaloloma told FijiLive they are thankful to New World for coming onboard to boost their campaign towards the tournament.

“New World has given us a sponsor of $2,500 which we are really delighted about,” Vakaloloma said.     

Vakaloloma said the tournament is to expose talented youths in the villages.

“This will give a good gauging ground to identify the raw talents in the community,” he said.

Funds raised from the will go towards buying the farming equipment for the youth club.

Organisers are looking at 38 teams in eight categories for the 2-day tourney.

Twelve teams have so far confirmed their participation in the U16 categories.

The winner of the tournament will walk away with $2,000 while the runner up will receive $1,000.
