Jetsetters top Group B

Nadi has topped Group B of the 2018 Courts Inter District Championship (IDC) after beating Rewa 3-1 in their final match at the ANZ Stadium in Suva today.

The Jetsetters march into the semifinals with a 100 percent winning record and have become firm favorites.

Rewa started the match with some urgency and went ahead in the 18th minute through a Setareki Hughes penalty.

The Delta Tigers led 1-0 at the break but wilted under pressure in the second half with striker Tito Vodowaqa finding the equaliser with a tap-in.

Rusiate Matarerega put Nadi up in the 70th minute and scored a stunning goal from a free-kick seven minutes later to seal the win and send Rewa out of the tournament with no wins in its bag.

Nadi will now feature in the second semifinal at 5pm on Tuesday while host district who finish second in Group B will play in the first semifinal at 2.30pm.
