Navua through to Senior Division final

Navua has booked its place in the Senior Division final of the 2018 Courts Inter District Championship (IDC) after beating Tailevu 2-1 in extra time of their semifinal clash at the Fiji FA grounds in Suva today.

Tailevu Naitasiri made a flying start to the match and scored in the 6th minute through Meli Nagusudrau.

Navua managed to level scores through Netani Doli just before halftime.

The second half failed to produce any goals and the match headed into extra time where stylish midfielder Monit Chand scored the winner in the first spell.

Navua will meet the winner of the second semifinal which is currently underway between defending champion Nadroga and Lami.

The final of the Senior Division will be played at 12pm tomorrow at the ANZ Stadium.
