Champs Nadi, Ba, Labasa book semis spot

Defending champion Nadi, host Labasa, Rifle Range and Ba have marched into the semifinals of the 2017 Sangam Inter District Championship (IDC) after winning their respective quarterfinal matches at Subrail Park today.

Nadi came from a goal down to beat Navua 2-1 in its quarterfinal match while Rifle Range recorded a 2-1 upset win over Suva.

Avinesh Warran Swamy and Ronil Kumar scored a goal each to beat Hamilton and put Ba into the semifinals while host Labasa had to score two extra time goals to overcome Malolo 3-1 in the last quarterfinal match.

Nadi will take on Rifle Range in the first semifinal at 8am tomorrow while Labasa and Ba will battle it out in the second semifinal at 9.10am.

The super premier final is scheduled to kick off at 3pm.
