Champs Lautoka make flying start

Defending champion Lautoka kicked off its campaign in the 2017 INKK Mobile Battle Of Giants in style at Subrail Park today and thumped Dreketi 4-1.

The Kamal Swamy coached Blues led 1-0 at the break with striker Samuela Drudru scoring in the 14th minute.

Captain Valerio Nawatu walked past three defenders and beat goalkeeper Waisake Ravuiwasa to score Lautoka’s second goal in the 50th minute.

Strikers Osea Vakatalesau and Mohammed Shazil Ali netted two more goals before Sanaila Waqanicakau pulled one for Dreketi.

Dreketi defender scored an own goal from a Lautoka corner in the dying stages.

General Machinery Lautoka will face Rewa in the feature Day 2 match at 6pm tomorrow while Dreketi will play Ba at midday.
