Coach Dutt to assist Nadi in BOG

Assistant National Coach Yogendra Dutt will assist Nadi in the 2017 INKK Mobile Battle Of Giants in Labasa this week.

Dutt will work with Acting Coach Viliame Toma who replaces Babs Khan in the Nadi coaching panel.

Nadi FA Secretary Mohammed Rafiq told FijiLive that Dutt joined the team in training and his inclusion in the panel is a boost for the Jetsetters.

“We have managed to secure his services for the Battle Of Giants and we are thankful to Fiji FA and national coach Christophe Gamel for allowing Yogendra Dutt to assist us.”

“His vast coaching experience should help our team in the tournament and we are aiming to go a notch up in BOG after falling short in the Fiji FACT final,” he said.

Dutt last assisted Nadi as its technical advisor in the 2014 Inter District Championship in Suva where the team lost 1-0 to the hosts in the final.

Rafiq added that core of the team that played in the Fiji FACT has been retained and they are looking forward to their pool matches against host Labasa, Suva and Rakiraki.

Nadi opens its campaign against Rakiraki at 1pm on Friday.
