Drudru puts Lautoka in semis

Defending champion Lautoka has progressed to the semifinals of the 2017 INKK Mobile Battle Of Giants after beating Ba 1-0 in its final Group B match at Subrail Park in Labasa today.

Replacement striker Samuela Drudru netted the winner for the Blues in the 75th minute after slamming in a neat midfield pass.

Ba had its fair share of chances but failed to find the back of the net as goalkeeper Benaminio Mateinaqara put on a brilliant display between the sticks.

General Machinery Lautoka tops Group B with 7 points.

Ba has 4 points and will have to hope that Rewa that draws or loses its match against Dreketi.

The Delta Tigers have 2 points and need a win over Dreketi to finish as runners up in Group B.
