Suva appoints new coach

Australia based former Lautoka rep Sam Lal has been appointed Suva’s new coach for the remainder of the season.

He replaces former rep Shivam Nathan who has stepped down following the Whites’ dismal performance in the Battle Of Giants.

Cook Islander Tuka Tisam who was part of the coaching panel in BOG is also believed to have stepped aside.

Lal held his first training session with the team yesterday and will face a tough task this weekend in the North where Suva will play Labasa and Dreketi in the Vodafone Premier League.

He recently assisted Rakiraki in the Fiji FACT.

Suva is currently placed second on the standings with 15 points after playing 8 matches.
