7s star Tuwai is Fiji Airways ambassador

Olympic gold medalist and Vodafone Fiji 7s halfback Jerry Tuwai has joined the Fiji Airways family as their new brand ambassador.

Tuwai, who is tipped to captain the national team after the departure of Osea Kolinisau to the United States, says he is excited and honoured to be part of Fiji’s national airline.

“This opportunity allows me to connect with Fijians and fan everywhere, particularly where Fiji Airways and Fiji Link fly to”.

“It’s been an exciting journey to date as I was part of the Fiji Link birthday celebrations in Labasa in June with fellow brand ambassador Roy Krishna. It was a lot of fun meeting the fans up in the north, and I look forward to more of this with Fiji Airways and Fiji Link,” Tuwai added.

“One of the best experiences of being a rugby player is travelling and particularly on the return journey I am always looking out for Fiji Airways at the airport. As soon as I see the aircraft and meet the crew, I know I’m home.”

Fiji Airways Managing Director and Chief Executive Andre Viljoen said they are delighted to add yet another extremely popular Fijian to their pool of Ambassadors.

"Our brand is all about being uniquely Fijian, and we hope having someone like Jerry will inspire more Fijians in Fiji and around the world to connect with our brand whether it’s through travel, rugby, events or social media.”

As part of the Fiji Airways Ambassadorship, Jerry will appear in Fiji Airways and Fiji Link marketing, public relations and social media campaigns.

He joins former Fiji 7s Coach Ben Ryan and football star Roy Krishna, who are already part of the Fiji Airways family.
