Nakarawa among 30 best players

Vodafone Flying Fijians lock Leone Nakarawa has been ranked amongst 30 best players in the world of rugby at the moment.

British website Wales Online writers have come up with a comprehensive list of top players as the international rugby season is on a break and the Rugby Championship just around the corner.

Nakarawa who was highly rated in the 2015 Rugby World Cup and was one of the stars of Fiji’s international test matches against the Wallabies, Italy and Scotland in June is the lone Pacific Islander in the list which is dominated by the All Blacks.

Beauden Barrett, crowned last year as the World Rugby player of year, has held on to the top spot despite an uneven series against the Lions.

All Blacks captain Kieran Read takes the second spot while English lock Maro Itoje is the big mover after the Lions series, coming in at third.

The full list features 10 New Zealanders, 9 players who wore the red Lions jumper, 4 Australians, 2 Argentinians, 2 Frenchman, 1 Italian, 1 Fijians and 1 South African.
